Our Approach
The Coastal Collective is a caring charity with children and families at the heart of everything we do.
We offer bespoke services dependent on what a child or family requires.
We endeavour to promote a holistic approach to support the community members with and issues or difficulties they are experiencing. Our hope is that we can help as many families as possible to thrive. This can be through supporting with parenting, mental health difficulties, medical needs, behavioural challenges, budgeting and many more.
Our Family Hub based at The Pod at Heyhouses offers support for new parents and infants from birth to school age. Sessions are advertised in the community and parents/carers can get in touch directly to book Baby Massage, Messy Play, Art Groups and more!
We also work in close collaboration with all of the schools in our community and much of what we do is shaped by the needs that are highlighted by the staff at the schools. It may be that a child or family are being supported by staff at school already, but it is felt that additional support is required. School can then make a referral to The Coastal Collective and a member of the team will be allocated to the family.
In addition to all that can be provided by our fantastic team, The Coastal Collective provide funding for schools in order for them to access external agencies in a bid to support children in a multitude of ways

- Pathological Demand Avoidance Support
- Behavioural Specialists
- Lego Therapy
- Art Therapy
Training Opportunities
Collective training opportunities are provided to all of our schools, so that staff feel supported in specialist areas. We work in collaboration with specialist training providers to offer bespoke courses ranging from Trauma Informed Practice to First Aid.
As a Collective we are working in close partnership with organisations such as KITT (providing anaphylaxis kits) and MILESTONES EDUCATION (providing Sensory Pathways) for all of our schools.
